Training with Olympian
Cool Ridings Members brought the usual good vibes (and then some!) to a special training day with Olympic medallist Becky Moody. 8:30am start at Trent Park Equestrian Centre and there was an electric mix of excitement and nerves in the air!
Becky, didn’t just coach, she connected and each rider got tailored tips. 3 Members rode their own horses and 3 Members had horses allocated to them from Trent Park. True to Cool Ridings style, the arena buzzed with encouragement, laughter and big smiles all round.
Jayda Everett, was over the moon to have been coached by Moody, and said; “Today was incredible. I don't think I have had that much fun in a flat lesson in ages! Becky is simply fantastic. She has so much experience and knowledge to share, and offered such valuable insight into the sport. I thought the way she was able to adapt her coaching to suit every Cool Ridings participant was amazing.”
Founder Lydia Heywood:
“Many of us grew up watching LIHS, so to now be involved as a community is incredibly special. The Show has gone above and beyond for us — it’s a real celebration of inclusion in action.”
As always, the Cool Ridings community showed up with open hearts, hungry minds and positive energy. Days like this remind us why distributing inclusive opportunities is vital.
