Training Day at Hartpury
On 6th September, Cool Ridings members arrived bright and early at Hartpury University & College for a special training day designed to inspire, connect and empower the next generation of riders. The day marked the beginning of an exciting new collaboration between Cool Ridings and Hartpury University & College. The day offered a dynamic programme of activities that blended practical fitness training led by Ifa Simmonds, and engaging riding sessions delivered by Cameron Beer.
Matilda Edmund, MSc. Senior Equine Events Coordinator at Hartpury, captured the spirit of the partnership perfectly:
“I’m thrilled to be part of Hartpury University and College’s new collaboration with Cool Ridings. Together, we’ll be working to make equestrian sport more inclusive and accessible, opening up opportunities for riders from all backgrounds to engage with our events and facilities.”
Beyond the activities, the training day showcased the shared commitment of Cool Ridings and Hartpury to building a more inclusive and accessible future within equestrianism. With access to world-class facilities and expert guidance, this collaboration ensures that talented riders from all backgrounds can develop their skills and ambitions in a supportive environment.
We were delighted to host a vibrant Caribbean lunch for upwards of 30 guests, giving everyone the chance to relax, connect and enjoy each other’s company between sessions. The feedback from riders was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing how valuable it was to learn from experienced coaches and take part in a day that truly celebrated both community and progress in the sport.
This training day is just the first of many steps as Cool Ridings continues its mission to break down barriers and open doors within the equestrian world. With the support of Hartpury University & College, we are able to increase our impact on riders nationwide. We welcome enquiries about future events, whether you are a rider, spectator, or supporter.
