Olivia Kennedy: When the opportunity to participate in the esteemed Magnolia Cup charity horse race at Goodwood Races arose, I was a mix of excitement and nerves, unable to believe the chance was real. Race day itself turned out to be nothing short of amazing, as the atmosphere, the camaraderie among riders, and the thrill of the competition combined to create an unforgettable experience. This journey has taught me to believe in myself, to summon courage when it counts, and to find motivation even in the face of challenges. Looking ahead, I'm brimming with enthusiasm to continue my growth alongside my gorgeous mare, Aphilia. Our upcoming endeavors include delving into low-level dressage, show jumping, and arena eventing competitions this winter, paving the way for our eventing debut next season. The allure of horse racing remains undiminished; I find myself riding out every week, driven by an addictive passion that refuses leave, so who knows what the future holds.
